I remember the first time I needed to “raise the rates” on my clients in my fitness business.
It was scary and I was SO stressed out.
Of course, I played out the worst-case scenario in my head…
You know, the one where every single one of my clients gets upset and leaves?
I can write an entire chapter about how I worked myself up for no reason…
Because sending that letter was one of the BEST things I ever did in my business.
Not only did clients understand why I needed to increase my rates, but almost all of them were happy to pay it because they truly valued our program.
I even had two clients tell me:
“Alicia, I was wondering when you were going to start charging more!”
I was finally charging what I was WORTH. And damn, that felt good.
The boost in the bank account didn’t hurt, either.
